The Greatest Truth

Beloved:

What is THE GREATEST TRUTH found in the Bible? With the whole of Scripture being a BOOK OF TRUTHS…what would YOU consider to be the GREATEST OF ALL TRUTHS found in God’s INERRANT-INFALLIBLE Word? As for me, I am THOROUGHLY CONVINCED the Greatest Truth found in The Word of God is…THE PRESENCE OF GOD!

Theologians and Bible Scholars have through the years told God’s People the Bible NEVER attempts to PROVE the EXISTENCE of God. I understand what they are saying, however, the Bible Truth of the Presence of God does indeed PROVE the Existence of God! There could be no Presence of God if God does not exist!

In the Bible GOD’S PRESENCE is revealed in two ways:

1. The OMNIPRESENCE of God: God is EVERYWHERE (Jeremiah 23:23-24, KJV).

2. The MANIFESTED PRESENCE of GOD: Overwhelming Awareness of God (II Chronicles 7:1-3, KJV).

In times of TRUE REVIVAL and SPIRITUAL AWAKENING there has been, WITHOUT EXCEPTION, the MANIFESTED PRESENCE OF GOD. When God REVEALS Himself in “THIS FASHION” (Mark 2:12, KJV), these things always happen:

1. The UNUSUAL is Displayed: “Business as usual” is drowned in the Sea of THE UNUSUAL in times of TRUE REVIVAL (Exodus 3:1-5, KJV).

2. The UNIQUENESS of God is Revealed: It is NATURAL for God to be SUPERNATURAL! “This was the Lord’s doing, and it is MARVELOUS in our eyes” (Mark 12:11, KJV).

3. The UNEXPENDABLE POWER of God is Demonstrated: It is IMPOSSIBLE for God to go anywhere WITHOUT His Power (Isaiah 64:1-3, KJV).

In a day when the Church is FILLED with MARKETING TECHNIQUES and CEO’s (Chief Executive Officers) instead of Pastors, we attempt to DISGUISE our FAILURE (Powerlessness) with MAN MADE DEVICES, Plans, Programs, Events and Strategies. Regardless of how NOBLE our Religious Leaders Efforts may be, still the REAL QUESTION is: But WHERE IS GOD?

While it may have been true of the Church of the Laodiceans (Revelation 3:14-22, KJV) that they THOUGHT they “have need of NOTHING” (v.17) they had indeed need of SOMEONE (v.20). May GOD HELP US to take MOSES’ ADVICE as found in Exodus 33:15, KJV. You see, THE GREATEST TRUTH (The Presence of God) is also our GREATEST NEED.

Beloved, as long as The Church remains in Her condition of the Conspicuously Absent MANIFESTED Presence of God, NO EFFORT on the part of Her Leadership will meet with SPIRITUAL Success regardless of how NOBLE the Effort may be. The STRATEGIES of men are NO answers for the TRAGEDY of a SIN-LADEN Church. As Roger Ellsworth states in his book, Come Down Lord: “We MUST realize that God can do more in a minute with HIS POWER than we can in a LIFETIME with our STRATEGIES!” Amen and Amen!!
