The "Thy" Factor

Beloved:

Recently while camping in the MAJESTIC WONDER of Psalm 119 I discovered, with the revealing help of The Holy Spirit, THE “THY” FACTOR in this marvelous portion of THE SCRIPTURE. This the longest of the Psalms with its 176 verses has, I believe, One MAJOR THEME: THE “THY” FACTOR.

You see, Dear Ones, in the 176 verses of Psalm 119 we find THE “THY” FACTOR referred to 201 times. The overwhelming majority of these “THY” FACTOR references have to do with THE WORD OF GOD. Note THE “THY” FACTOR in regards to law, statutes, judgments, commandments, precepts, ordinances and ways in Psalm 119. The ONLY reason the words in the preceding sentence have any SIGNIFICANCE (importance) whatsoever is because of THE “THY” FACTOR--“THY” Law, “THY” Commandments, etc. So, let’s be honest! The ONLY reason THE BIBLE is INERRANT, INFALLIBLE, TRUSTWORTHY and AUTHORITATIVE is because of THE “THY” FACTOR. Remove THE “THY” FACTOR and THE BIBLE would be just another book.

Why is there so much ANIMOSITY (ill will, hatred) concerning THE BIBLE? The Answer? THE “THY” FACTOR! The ANIMOSITY is, in reality, toward the AUTHOR of THE SCRIPTURE. Man, with our SINFUL HUMAN NATURE, is in REBELLION against ALL of GOD’S RESTRAINTS and is insensible to DIVINE THINGS.

Sinful FLESH has NO Love for a God who says in HIS WORD: “For it is written, as I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God” (Romans 14:11-12, KJV). SELF DESTRUCTION is in the PATH of EVERY PERSON who attempts to live without THE “THY” FACTOR (The Sovereign, Holy God of THE SCRIPTURE) in his or her life. However, Thanks to CALVARY there is another PATH that leads to LIFE everlasting with THE “THY” FACTOR. GLORY!
