No Power...No Fear!

Beloved:

It takes no ROCKET SCIENTIST to know that, in our day, there is NO FEAR OF GOD in the LAND (“There is no fear of God before their eyes,” Romans 3:18, KJV). The REASON being…Where the POWER OF GOD is off THE CHURCH, the FEAR OF GOD is off the LAND! God’s measureless ABILITY is the RESULT of God’s Boundless POWER (“Now unto Him that is ABLE to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the POWER that worketh in us,” Ephesians 3:20, KJV). In other words, the PRICE we are paying today for a POWERLESS CHURCH is the CONSPICUOUS ABSENCE of the FEAR OF GOD. There will be a RETURN of the FEAR OF GOD in the LAND...ONLY when there is a RETURN of the POWER OF GOD in the CHURCH!

If you had to describe the happenings in the BOOK OF ACTS with ONLY ONE WORD that word would have to be POWER! As A.W. Tozer has written: “The Church began in POWER, moved in POWER, and moved just so long as She had POWER.” Will we (the Church) ever learn that THE POWER OF GOD is not a LUXURY but an ABSOLUTE ESSENTIAL in the life of THE CHURCH? Plain and simple: A church is NOT a New Testament Church without the THE POWER OF GOD! Her (the Church's) MISSION, MINISTRY, and MANDATE are IMPOSSIBLE TASKS without THE POWER OF GOD!

Call it what you may—UNCTION (“But ye have an UNCTION from the Holy One,” I John 2:20, KJV), ANOINTED (“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He hath ANOINTED Me to preach the gospel to the poor,” Luke 4:18, KJV), or FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT (“And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST,” Acts 4:31, KJV)—without GOD’S POWER the CHURCH is USELESS and the FEARLESS FOLLOWERS of the FALSE gods of this age will continue in their pursuit of THE BROAD WAY THAT LEADETH TO DESTRUCTION. (“For wide is the gate and broad is the way, that leadeth to DESTRUCTION,” Matthew 7:13, KJV). NO POWER…NO FEAR! God help us!!
