A Reminder for '09

Beloved:

While many are dealing with their personal New Year’s RESOLUTIONS for ’09, I would like for us to FOCUS on a REMINDER for ’09. The REMINDER I have in mind is: REVIVAL IS WHEN…AND ONLY WHEN…

• One sees himself as GOD sees him.

• Deep, soul-searching CONVICTION causes one to abhor sin!

• There is intense, earnest seeking after GOD and HOLINESS.

• There is a keen awareness of the awesome Presence and Power of GOD.

• Repentance is deep and fervent, generally followed by sincere Restoration.

• Every flaw of one’s character is brought under the scrutiny of THE HOLY SPIRIT.

• There is a complete turning from SIN with a TOTAL SURRENDER of one’s will to God.

• There is a consuming desire for PURITY OF HEART which supersedes all natural desire.

• Sweet release follows the birth pangs of CONFESSION.

• Joy flows like a river with unexplainable ecstacy.

• The CHURCH is restored to her original purpose for which GOD planned, CHRIST died, and the HOLY SPIRIT descended!

We shall hear much about CHANGE in ’09, however no CHANGE can compare to the CHANGE that we would witness if the above REMINDER becomes a REALITY this year.

As we begin our 32nd year TOGETHER in this REVIVAL-EVANGELISM MINISTRY know that this Preacher loves YOU dearly and is COUNTING on your love, prayers and gifts in ’09!

Now a Word from HIS WORD: “TURN thou US unto THEE, O LORD and we shall be TURNED; RENEW our days as of OLD” (Lamentations 5:21, KJV).
