The Interpretation

Beloved:

In DANIEL chapter 5 (KJV), we find the account of Daniel interpreting THE WRITING that appears on the WALL of King Belshazzar’s Banquet House. In the first 26 verses of this chapter, the words “THE INTERPRETATION” are stated 8 times, clearly indicating the IMPORTANCE of the need to understand the SOBERING (literally) WRITING by “The Fingers of a Man’s Hand” (v.5) on the Banquet Hall’s Wall.

King Belshazzar, in his now SOBER and TERRIFIED condition, SUMMONED the “WISE MEN OF BABYLON” (V.7) to INTERPRET the WRITING that had STOPPED the DRUNKEN ORGY in its tracks. So serious was the situation that the King was promising the Position of the Third Ruler in the Kingdom IF any of the “WISE MEN” could INTERPRET the WRITING. NONE COULD!

Well, you know what follows. When all else FAILS, call for THE MAN OF GOD! So the Man of God (Daniel) does what no “Wise men of Babylon” could do: DANIEL INTERPRETS the Writing. The WRITING stated that King Belshazzar and His Kingdom were WEIGHED and found WANTING by a SOVEREIGN HOLY GOD…Thus subject to THE JUDGMENT OF GOD!

Dear Ones, let us now FAST FORWARD to the PRESENT CONDITION of our NATION. We have a situation that PARALLELS MUCH of what took place in BABYLON. Who can INTERPRET THE WRITING ON THE WALL OF OUR NATION? THE WISE MEN of the hour have PROVEN to be UNWISE WITH THEIR interpretations (Solutions)…Stimulus Package, Bailouts, Spending Bills, etc., and the T.V. “Talking Heads” are just as EMPTY with their POLITICAL BABBLING. NO, it is TOO LATE for the SOLUTIONS of MEN.

I believe it is TIME once again to call for THE MAN OF GOD and if we do I am SURE he will tell us, in no uncertain terms, that THE INTERPRETATION...is that our NATION has gone from ONE NATION UNDER GOD to ONE NATION UNDER GOD’S JUDGMENT! You see there is a HIDDEN BOUNDARY between GOD’S MERCY and HIS WRATH and I am afraid we have CROSSED IT!
